We encourage you to become active in the community, whether by serving one of our mission partners, passionately serving another mission organization or devoting yourself to loving and serving those whom you encounter in your neighborhood who are in need.
Mission
Jesus said: I have not come to be served but to serve. As Christians we are called to serve others. We are called to love our neighbor at least as well as we love ourselves. Outside the walls of the sanctuary there are precious people in need: families struggling to make ends meet, homeless individuals and families, children who go to bed hungry, elders lonely and isolated. Here is where faith meets the world. Here, as much as on Sunday morning in worship, is "church."
Braden River has partnered with the organizations listed below (all links open in a new tab) to address some of these needs, both here and abroad. In doing so, not only do we alleviate suffering of others, we meet our faith, our fears, our deepest desires to be like Jesus. It’s in the doing that belief comes alive and grows.
